2024 March Madness Sweet 16 Pool - Rules
POOL SETUP:
Using the remaining 16 team NCAA Tournament bracket, choose who you think will win each game all the way to the championship.
Points will be awarded for each correct pick according to the point structure below.
Additional points will be awarded for the seed number of the winning teams you choose.
POINTS DISTRIBUTION:
Each correct pick in the Sweet 16: 4 points
Each correct pick in the Elite 8: 8 points
Each correct pick in the Final Four: 16 points
Correct Pick in the Championship Game: 32 points
SEED BONUS POINTS:
The seed of the winning team is added to your point total. Since anyone can pick the higher-ranking teams and do relatively well, a twist has been added to reward those that pick upset winners.
Example:
(6 (seed) + 4 (correct pick in Sweet 16) = 10 points)
If you choose #10 seed and they win in the Elite 8 Round, you receive 18 points for that correct pick.
(10 (seed) + 8 (correct pick in Elite 8) = 18 points)
You must get the pick correct in order to get the bonus points
WINNERS/TIEBREAKERS:
The entry that accumulates the most points in the pool will become the March Madness Sweet 16 champion. (It is not the most correct picks but the most points accumulated)
Tiebreaker #1: If there is a tie, the entry that selects the most correct picks in the entire pool with win the tiebreaker.
Tiebreaker #2: If tiebreaker #1 does not break the tie, the total score of the championship game closest (high or low) will break the tie. If there is still a tie, payout will be split by the number of entries tied.
MULTIPLE ENTRIES:
To increase your chances of winning, you may play as many times as you wish. Each entry will be scored separately.
If you would like to play multiple brackets, you may choose them at signup. If you have already signed up and wish to add additional teams, please contact me at info@primefantasysports.com.
SIGNUP:
IF YOU PLAYED LAST SEASON, when the pool is ready for the new season, you will receive an email invitation from me. There will be a link inside the email that will take you to a renewal form. Just complete the form, pay for your entries, and you should be good to go. If you wish to sign up sooner, you can also use the regular method to sign up for the pool.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE POOL, you will need to sign up before you can make selections online. The sign-up link is at the top of this page. Here's how to sign up:
Please follow these steps closely for a pain free sign-up process.
1.) Click the "Sign Up Now" button in the "Cost to Play" section at the top right of this page. This will take you to the sign-up page.
2.) Complete the sign-up page, then click "Submit" at the bottom of the sign-up page. Make sure you complete all required fields, or it won't submit.
After you have signed up, you should receive email instructions (check your junk mail folder if you don't see it in your inbox) on how to access your entry/entries and pay for your entries.

Please note that in order to maintain the highest integrity of these pools, payments for all entries must be received by the pool deadline. If entries are not paid by the deadline, they will be removed from the pool for non-payment. If you are having trouble with payment, please contact the commish.
ALREADY HAVE AN OPS ACCOUNT? Even if you have an account with them, please use the sign-up pages on this site, but with your OPS login credentials. We use OPS for most of our pools, so this will ensure all your pools will stay together under your existing account.
Once added, you can login anytime using the "Login" link at the top right of any page at Prime Fantasy Sports. Just choose the "Sweet 16" login option when it becomes available.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
Selections for matchups from the Sweet 16 all the way to the championship are due prior to the tip off of the first regularly scheduled game on Sweet 16 Thursday (March 28th) which is typically around 7pm ET. Once the deadline has passed for that game, your picks are locked in for the remainder of the tournament.
PICKS POSTED BY COMMISH: If you need help making your selections or are having computer problems, please contact me with your selections before the deadline and I will make them for you. This must be done before the first Sweet 16 game starts or you are out of luck.
POSTING SELECTIONS/RESULTS:
WHEN ARE SELECTIONS POSTED: Selections are posted shortly after the deadline to make selections passes.
WHEN ARE RESULTS POSTED: Results are posted shortly after the conclusion of each game.
